He’s been the Beijing Ducks’ spark off the bench for the past two seasons winning a CBA championship in both years, now Li Gen has been rewarded for his efforts by the deep pockets of the Xinjiang Flying Tigers.
According to Sportando.com, the 27-year-old has signed a three-year $4.9 million contract with Xinjiang. The Beijing Ducks were interested in bringing Li Gen back to the team but couldn’t match Xinjiang’s offer. Last season, Li Gen posted career highs in points per game, averaging 17 points, and three rebounds in 48 games played. Li Gen will join former NBA big-man AndrayBlatche in Xinjiang. Blatche’s contract with Xinjiang is worth $7.5 million over three seasons.
