Introducing the starting linuep for the 2014 CBA All-Star game

It took only six active games for Stephon Marbury to convince the fans that he should be the leading vote-getter for the 2014 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) all-star game.

The starting ten players have been announced and Marbury tops the list with 847,868 votes.¬†Other former NBA players participating in this weekend’s event include former Los Angeles Laker Sun Yue, 2007 lottery draft choice Yi Jianlian and Beijing legend ZhiZhi Wang (drafted by the Dallas Mavericks).

Marbury played Beijing’s first six games before going down with a knee injury, an injury that has yet to fully heal causing him to miss nearly two months of action.

All-Star weekend is set to take place on Jan. 18, 2014 and Jan. 19, 2014 at the MasterCard Center (aka. Wukesong arena) in Beijing, China.

The first day of the two-day event will begin with the Li Ning challenge which includes a skills challenge, a slam-dunk competition and a three-point showdown.

The second day will feature the main event; the 2014 CBA All-Star game.
