Delonte West cut from Chinese team

Call it trial and error.

After suffering a one-point loss at home the Fujian Sturgeons have officially released Delonte West from their roster. During the dying seconds of the game West demanded the ball before turning it over causing the team another loss.

The Sturgeons were 10th in the CBA standings and have decided to make a playoff push without West.

Life in China was not as great as one could have hoped for West. Despite averaging 22 points, five rebounds and five assists per game he was having issues with executing the team’s game plan.  He was once ejected from the game for going after a Chinese player.

It sounds all to familiar for West who has had team issues since the rumors of having a relationship with Lebron James’ mom in Cleveland during the 2010 NBA playoffs.

That same year he was convicted with a weapons charge. With a criminal record, West was unable to play basketball overseas during the lockout so to make ends meet he decided to work at a furniture store.

In 2012 while playing for the Dallas Mavericks, West was suspended by the NBA for giving Utah Jazz forward a “wet willy”.

No word yet on who Fujian decides to replace the vacant foreign player spot on the roster.

Delonte was not released. In fact, he played in the game last night.
