The fights continue in China.
This one is minor compared to the fights we’ve seen in the past week but nonetheless Yi Jianlian is the latest member of the CBA’s 2014 fight club. After receiving a hard foul, the 2007 NBA lottery pick approached the Foshan player and gave him a little shove. One super flop later and both teams come break up what seems to be a reoccurring theme in China, fights after the whistle.
After the game, Yi said, “I don’t understand how they (Foshan) need to result on hard fouls in attempt to win the game. It’s just unnecessary.”
This week, the CBA called an emergency meeting for all teams’ executives to bring a solution to the league’s on court fighting issues. Only time will tell if the meeting brought any success to the issue.
