Benson, who is coming off a championship season with Ulsan Mobis Phoebus has spent the last three months training in California in preparation for his next move. Bank of Taiwan has decided to drop their current foreign player James Tyler after losing four of their last five games. Benson will see some familiar faces in Taiwan. In 2008, former NBA big-man and current Taiwan Beer center Patrick O’Bryant played in the NBA D-League against Benson. There will also be a KBL reunion as former Jeonju KCC Egis¬†Darian Townes and former Busan KT Sonicboom forward Bryan Davis are currently playing in Taiwan’s SBL.

Many Korean fans are hoping for a Rod Benson return to the KBL as he still holds a strong fan base throughout the league.
