Shanghai Sharks owner Yao Ming has imported another NBA talent to replace Von Wafer (out with a broken hand).
Quincy Douby has signed with the Shanghai Sharks of the CBA.
Douby, 29 years old, was a standout player at Rutgers University (first player in Rutgers history to lead the Big East in scoring) before being selected in the first round of the 2006 NBA Draft 19th overall by the Sacramento Kings. Douby spent four seasons in the league, three with Sacramento and one with the Toronto Raptors before taking his talents overseas.
Douby has two years of CBA experience on his resume. In 2010-2011, he played for the Xinjiang Flying Tigers and last season for the Zhejiang Golden Bulls where he broke the Chinese Basketball Association single game scoring record with 75 points.
Douby joins another NBA talent in Darnell Jackson on a Sharks team that sits third in the CBA standings.
