Playoff perfection, Mobis Phoebus crowned 2013 KBL champions

Ulsan Mobis Phoebus won the 2013 KBL championship Wednesday night by completed a clean sweep of four games against the Seoul SK Knights. Game four was not even close, Mobis executed their game-plan to perfection winning by a score of 77-55.

Credit the offensive effort from finals MVP Dong-Geun Yang. He finished with a game-high 29 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals. He hit five three-pointers and scored 16 points in fourth quarter to help seal the deal for Mobis.

All-star forward Rod Benson, in his third year and after two consecutive finals appearances finally gets to hoist the trophy. Benson was quiet offensively, scoring six points (all in the fourth quarter) and grabbing 11 rebounds.

“We are so balanced, no one cares about their scoring, it makes us so dangerous on both ends,” says Benson.

SK had one of the worst games this series. They shot only 39 per cent from the floor and received only seven points on two for seven shooting from their star player Aaron Haynes.
