The Liaoning Leopards have added a big piece to their big team by acquiring free agent point guard Lester Hudson.
Hudson spent the 2013-2014 season with the Xinjiang Flying Tigers winning the regular season award for most valuable foreign player. He and the Flying Tigers were beat in six games by the Beijing Ducks in last season’s CBA finals.
Drafted in the 2nd round of the 2009 NBA draft by the Boston Celtics, Hudson became one of those players who would grind it out going from the NBA to D-League teams before establishing his professional career in China. He began his Chinese career as a mid-season call up by the Guangdong Southern Tigers in 2011. Hudson would lead the team to a CBA championship in his first year.
His new contract with Liaoning is reported to be a one-year $1.3 million deal.
