KCC Egis head coach Hur Jae resigns

Hur Jae has resigned as head coach of the Jeonju KCC Egis, it was announced today by OSEN news in Korea. The team has yet to announce his official replacement. In the meantime, assistant coach Choo Seung Gyun will act as the interim head coach.

Hur Jae, who has held the head coaching position in Jeongju since 2005, is having his worst coaching season of all-time and has won only three of the last 21 games this season. In his tenure as head coach of KCC he has won two KBL championships (2009, 2011).

KCC released a quick statement saying, “Hur Jae resigned because of KCC’s terrible slump.”
