Iran crowned 2013 FIBA Asia champions

The monster, the beast, godzilla… call him what you want but Hamed Haddadi’s official title is 2013 FIBA Asia MVP after 29 points, 16 rebounds, 2 blocks and single handedly leading Iran to a gold medal with a 85-71 victory over the Philippines.

“We were overmatched from the start,” ¬†said Philippines coach Chot Reyes.

Iran has been a dominant force throughout the entire tournament going undefeated and making their mark as Asia’s top basketball nation.
