Christmas came early for veteran international coach Tab Baldwin.
According to various sources coming out of the Philippines,Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipina Executive Director Sonny Barrios named Baldwin the new head coach of the Philippines men’s national team. The four-year contract is set to commence January 2015.
Baldwin, 56, has a rich international basketball coaching resume including stints as head coach of the Lebenon national team, Jordanian national team, and New Zealand national team. In 2013, Baldwin took a job with Gilas Pilipinas as a team consultant.
During a press conference in Manila, Baldwin was very forward about what his short term goals are.
