Multiple reports are confirming the Chinese national basketball have removed themselves from the 2014 FIBA World Cup wild-card bid.

China was a heavy favorite to lock-up one of the four wild-card spots.

After an embarrassing performance at the 2014 FIBA Asia Championships, China will focus on the upcoming Asia Games in Incheon, South Korea. China has not missed a FIBA World Cup in 16-years.

Italy, Germany and Russia are other top wild-card contenders that have announced their resignation from the tournament that is to take place this summer in Spain.
