It’s been a special season for Seoul SK Knights all-star Aaron Haynes.
After a 72-60 win against the Busan KT SonicBoom, Haynes was officially placed in the KBL record books after playing in his 318th KBL game. The most for any foreigner in league history.
“Most importantly we got the win. But accomplishing this record feels great. I’m blessed to have god on my side and give me this great opportunity. It’s been a long journey here in Korea, 318 games is a lot of games, and my family and friends have supported me the entire time. I couldn’t have done this without the endless support from my wife and my son. And of course all of my fans here in Korea, they’ve been with me the entire way so I want to give a special thanks to them too,” says Haynes.
In December, Haynes reached the 6,000 points mark placing him second all time for career points by a foreigner. He was also chosen to participate in the upcoming 2015 KBL all-star game. This season he’s averaging 20 points and eight rebounds per game. Haynes and the Knights have a couple of days off before their next match against Anyang KGC on January 3rd at SK’s Jamsil arena.
